It's hard to say if the Vietnam War was ever America's fight.
It was a clash of ideals, democracy versus communism. Although not involved in any way with the political clashing in Vietnam, America decided to take charge in fighting for South Vietnam, taking the side of democracy.
With this, many American citizens had clashing ideals also. Citizens disagreed on whether America had the obligation to fight for the liberty of a nation more than 8,000 miles away, a move that ultimately resulted in more carnage and bloodshed. A big part of what affected the war was the opinion of the people, and there was a lot of back and forth and contrast in the ways that various media employed to sway the ideals of the people.
This website will be focused on the anti-war efforts using the ten methods of propaganda during the Vietnam War.
