Transfer

This poster uses the transfer technique creating a Nazi flag with President Nixon’s name in the center stating that the barbaric decisions made by President Nixon can be seen parallel as the cruel actions executed by the Nazis.

This flag shows a combination of Nixon’s name and the original Nazi flag during World War II with Nixon’s name being part of the swastika sign. This flag is a clear representation of the transfer technique since feelings about the Nazis during the Holocaust are transferred to Nixon’s name behalf his inhumane decisions he made during the Vietnam War. This simple flag with different components claims that President Nixon’s actions during the Vietnam War towards Vietnam and its people is just like the actions the Nazis committed during the Holocaust towards all the victims. The viewers (mostly Americans) will receive the projected idea that the actions of Nixon are in fact comparable to that of what Americans consider the greatest enemy of American history. During World War II, the Nazis were the biggest enemies for the US as they lost many of their brave soldiers during the process but with this poster, this will transfer feelings that President Nixon, is the largest enemy for the US.
